Description
Gorgeous vintage 40s silk satin jacquard brocade piano shawl / scarf depicting the Taj Mahal and surrounding scenery and buildings. Colors are coral pink, silver, and two shades of purple on a deep black background. Measures 52-1/2 (includes 10 fringe on each side) by 50 (includes 8-1/2 fringe on each side) Two sides have woven in hand tied fringe in coral pink, and the other two sides have woven in hand tied black fringe. The reverse side is shown in the last photo. I currently have two other Taj Mahal silk scarves listed here on Etsy. DESIGNER LABEL: No labels of any kind. Most likely made in East India and brought home by a service member. CONDITION: Excellent. No stains, rips, tears, odors, worn areas, or missing fringe.
