【Background】
The display on the bathroom-side remote control (RC-8201S) for the water heater GT-2428SAWX stopped lighting up, and the living room-side remote control showed a 760 alarm (communication error between the remote control and the water heater unit). Therefore, I purchased a new RC-8201S (bathroom-side remote control) online and replaced it.
Although there were no issues during the power-on test, after installing it and heating the bath, a 140 alarm (combustion system component failure) appeared. I concluded that the root cause was not the bathroom-side remote control, but a malfunction in the control board of the water heater unit itself. I gave up on repairing it myself and replaced the entire water heater with a new one (GT-2470SAW).
Consequently, this remote control was only installed for one day, from purchase and installation until the water heater was replaced with a new unit.

【Notes】
① There are no issues during the power-on test. However, please understand in advance that it may not function due to other causes, as in my case.
② Installation methods are beyond my responsibility.
③ The wall gasket will be included as is. Please remove it and use a substitute such as double-sided tape.
