Crystal Grip was completed after nearly 4 years of development and extensive testing.
It is a joint development between 3M Japan, which boasts world-class technology, and Manuever Line Co., Ltd.
It is an eco-friendly, non-slip material that is gentle on the environment and does not pollute the ocean.
The texture is completely different from products that create friction by roughening the surface; it has a unique feel that blends smoothly with the skin and wetsuit material.
This sensation is created by a structure with micro-unevenness on the surface, calculated for friction and drainage, and a design that considers the balance of hardness.
The soft-textured surface suddenly increases contact with the soles of your feet when wet, providing a comfortable grip that offers such firm hold that you won't feel any anxiety even during hard maneuvers.
The adhesive layer uses patented Comply adhesive.
Micro-grid-like grooves are molded into the adhesive surface, making it easy to push out trapped air when applying, so even beginners can easily apply it.
Once applied, it adheres firmly and is resistant to peeling even in seawater of various temperatures.
By applying Crystal Grip, you no longer need to go through the hassle of waxing, and you can paddle out as soon as you get to the beach.
It won't melt like wax in hot cars during the summer, and it won't stain your board bag or car interior.
The design is beautifully transparent.
Most traction pads applied to boards in the past, even if they adhered strongly, would leave glue residue on the deck when peeled off, requiring a lot of effort and time to remove with large amounts of remover fluid.
Crystal Grip can be left on for a long time (2 or 3 years) without leaving any glue residue and can be peeled off cleanly.
Even if removal is necessary, it can be peeled off without causing future trouble.
Furthermore, the surface has UV-cutting properties, minimizing sunburn in the covered areas and preventing yellowing.
