This is Ver. 2 of the secret football jig, copied from the Hammerhead Jig originally used by pro guide Hiroki Nakata on Lake Nojiri. It became so effective that word spread among regular strong anglers, leading to its difficult-to-obtain status. This led to JACKALL releasing Ver. 2 as the NAKATA JIG.

The JACKALL NAKATA JIG was sold as Ver. 2 by BASS pro Seiji Kato, who acted as the lure designer. He modified the original Ver. 1 by changing the hook to create a football jig suitable for swimming.
