Olivetti Valentine, Spanish-made, Original, Red

This is the masterpiece typewriter Valentine by Olivetti. Designed by Ettore Sottsass, a giant of Italian design, and selected for the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, it is a gem of product design representing the 20th century.

It is characterized by its striking red body and the red bucket case, commonly known as such, which allows it to be stored upright. It is no longer in production, including reissues, and its rarity is increasing year by year.

★This item is an original early model made in Barcelona, Spain, with the inscription barcelona-spain on the bottom. It is not a later reissue made in Mexico (the inscription can be confirmed in the images).

[Condition]
All keys have been tested and are functioning correctly (both pressing and returning are normal). Printing has not been confirmed as the ink ribbon is dry, but it is believed to be printable with a ribbon replacement. Ribbons are still available from specialty stores.

As this is a vintage item, there are minor scratches and scuffs on the body and signs of use on the case (please check the images). As this is a used item with age, please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive.

It also makes an outstanding statement as an interior decoration or display piece.
