Yakusugi One-Piece Wood Wall Decoration / Kamidana Shelf Natural Wood Set of 2
10.00 $
Description
This is a single slab made from rare Yakusugi wood.
Its appeal lies in the fine, beautiful growth rings and the deep luster unique to Yakusugi, giving it a natural presence.
It can be used for various purposes such as a Shinto altar, an amulet stand, a decorative shelf, or an interior accent piece.
Yakusugi is currently prohibited from logging, making it a highly rare and valuable timber.
It is also known as an auspicious tree, as Yakusugi sounds like Yaku ga sugiru (troubles will pass).
[Condition]
There are minor scuffs and scratches due to age, as well as a natural texture.
Please check the photos for the condition.
A keyhole has been carved, but it cannot be used to hook screws or nails.
