Made from naturally dried cedar wood. For recent heat countermeasures, the bottom board can be swapped between a standard type and a 6mm mesh wire screen. By removing the bottom board, internal inspections can be easily performed using a smartphone, mirror, or other tools. The top is made with plywood with slits to accommodate wax moths, Acarapis mites, and for winter feeding. Eight metal rods are included as a measure to prevent comb collapse.
Usage instructions are included in a letter detailing know-how for attracting bees.
