Direct from the Farm: Koshihikari Rice (Hay-Dried) - 5kg
24.42 $
Description
This rice is grown in mountain paddies, nurtured by abundant natural mineral water.
We meticulously manage the water and weeding, cultivating the rice without the use of herbicides or pesticides. The rice is dried using the traditional inakakeboshi (rice drying rack) method, utilizing the cool mountain winds and sunlight. The grain was threshed at its optimal moisture content of 14.8%.
The rice is stored as unhulled grain in a dedicated rice storage room.
If you would like a reusable rice storage bag (refrigerator safe), please leave a comment.
The storage bag is a complimentary service.
If no comment is received, the rice will be shipped in a rice bag.
After the transaction is confirmed, the rice will be milled into white rice using a rice polisher and then shipped.
We are offering this rice at a price per kilogram that is lower than the typical cost of inakakeboshi rice.
We will cover the cost of milling and the rice bag.
The box will be recycled. Please understand that the total weight, including the box, will be 5kg.
