1960's Oyster Nylon Silky Feel Crib Comforter Blankie Quilt Embroidery & Lace

Vintage 1950's-60's Nylon Shell Silky Touch Baby Infant Child Comforter Crib or Pram Quilt - 45 x 36  Little ones love silkie feel blankets! This one is a lightweight quilt with spot quilting construction. In the center there is a quilted outline of a bow and some circle spots placed evenly throughout. It is what I call oyster white.... it is not stark white, nor is it cream. In some lighting conditions it appears that the over-embroidered flowers may have a very light touch of yellow or pink, but it is faint.  The exterior shell of this quilt is a nylon.... smooth, cool, silky like parachute stuffed animals. One side has over-embroidered broadcast flowers while the other side does not. All around the perimeter is a pretty semi-sheer lace that also features an over-embroidered pattern.  There are a few broken threads in the quilting, and I found 3 tiny pinholes (see photo) that are small enough to embroider or satin stitch over. So not perfect, but quite nice for the age and perfectly usable with a fair amount of life left in it.  Use as originally intended, or it would be quite pretty as a display blanket for vintage or antique dolls in an old-school baby bed or pram.  Comforter measures 45 x 36 and has a lightweight fluffy fill.
