Replacement electrode plates are also included, so if you own an Airness 2, you can use those as well.

When a high voltage is applied between multi-ring metal electrodes and needle-shaped electrodes, a phenomenon like lightning called corona discharge occurs. Corona discharge acts on oxygen (O₂) and water vapor (H₂O) in the air to generate ozone (O₃) and ions. The ions become wind, creating an anion airflow and diffusing ozone.
